attitudes towards persons with disabilities and self-
perception of PwDs. Sports is one such arena that
provides opportunities to break such attitudinal
barriers. Therefore, this booklet ventures out to
delineate the usability of sports as inclusionary
practices for PwD. It also aims to empower schools to
conceptualise and maximise available resources to
make provisions for accessible and adaptive sports
facilities with minimum investment, in turn making its
contribution to the betterment of society. Additionally,
it provides opportunities for Persons with Disabilities
to access sports facilities culminating in seamless
inclusion in society. It also brings forth inspiring stories
of individuals who, when given access to the best
infrastructure and facilities, overcome all barriers to
accomplish their dreams.
In sum, the booklet provides insights, awareness,
guidance, and advice on sports for Persons with
Disabilites with a focus on enhancing users’ knowledge
and practice on inclusion.
